Is there any recent news on a second movie or spin off series?

There's really nothing in the series to continue, but there are 3 OVAs. 2 are like subplots within the series, but 1 shows a grown-up Ed in the 21st century, with grandkids. All are quite short though. And there's some FMA chibi party (showcasing the crew after the filming of the movie) and it's really very funny.

hmmm... never heard that. Usually, a series that ended has a slim chance of returning, but it can happen. But i haven't heard anything about a second movie or a restart on the series, but that would be so AWESOME if it did happen

The show is over. Everything was resolved and there is no need to continue the show.
