A lot has happened but it seems that life keeps bringing my old high school sweetheart and I back to the opportunity for a relationship. We both were married and divorced and then got together again in '02. We both went different ways, both have had a relationship and had a child with someone but we are still the best of friends. Everything is so easy and comfortable with him. I just don't know what to think. He told me tonite that "the truth comes out, I miss you, you complete me". I am in a relationship that has problems to say the least, we never communicate and then things go bad from there. My old flame and I have excellent communication and always have. I just wondered if anyone has thoughts on the idea of people being meant to be together or if you think it is a load of crap.

Yes two people can be meant to be together. I married my highschool sweatheart after being divorced. We also had a relationship for awhile and went our seperate ways for awhile just to ended back together. He told me one day on the football field that he would marry me and we were kids at the time i never believed it but here we sit together we been married 4 years now and been togehter for a straight 7, not counting the small relationships we had before. He completes me and I complete him .
You need to go where your heart is, but i would talk to him and be honest, if you dont love him and just think it is destiny that isnt reason enough , we both shared strong feelings about one another. People would always know when I had seen him as they always said I had a sparkle in my eyes that always told the love we shared.
Love is never a load of crap.

There is one cardinal rule of relationships: NEVER LEAVE ONE RELATIONSHIP FOR ANOTHER!! If the relationship you're in isn't working and needs to be dissolved, dissolve it because it need dissolving, not because you think there is a better one in the wings. I know your current relationship is troubled but you owe it to yourself to do everything in your power to salvage it first. If that doesn't work, dissolve it.

Then take some time to grieve the loss It generally takes about the same amount of time to grieve a relationship as you spent in it. I know that seems like too long but you'll do yourself and everyone else justice if you respect the old relationship and grieve for it.

Then and only then should you pursue the new relationship. the other person will wait until you're genuinely ready.

Why aren't you with this guy? If things are so wonderful with him, why not be with him.
