Is it that they have created entities called demons by their faith that such things are real to them?
Is it because they are hiding the evil that dwells within them and are afraid of anything that might shed light on their darkness?
Is it because all Christians believe in the malignant spirits that they believe they might become or draw to themselves via their own darkness?

OuiJa is nothing but an amplifier of what is within those who play with this "toy."

Ouija boards are made by Parker Bros.(Now called Hasboro) They were invented in 1920. The planchette is much older. There is no way to debunk an Ouija Board. Only its operators can be debunked.

they're afraid of anything that is not inside their safety zone. anything that sounds like witchcraft is even more treatening bacause of the way the name for all the different priests, necromancers, herbalists and such were included under "bad witches, stay away from them" in the translations of the christian scriptures.
the oija board has another threat... what if a soul does come back and communicates that there's none of that heaven and hell stuff that they've been feeding to the masses?

I think it may have something to do with the fact that they wish to control the world and everyone in it. Whoever doesn't believe the way they do is doomed to an eternity in hell. The Quija Board is a physical example of something that they can blame things on as opposed to the devil himself, which is intangible and therefore easy to use as a scapegoat. But nevertheless, the devil is intangible, and human beings are inherently physical beings, so we need something to put our misfortunes off upon.

The Quija Board has the MOST EVIL commercial ever, that being The Exorcist. Captain Howdy was a real mean bunch of dudes.....lol

Why pick on the Christians? Would you be surprised to find out that the following people warned about Oujia Board use:

Edgar Cayce, well-known "psychic" and "prophet" in the U.S. for many years. His psychic specialty was medical diagnosis and reading past lives. Cayce supposedly derived his "powers" by tapping into some unknown "higher consciousness." As an acclaimed psychic (he claimed an ability to channel answers to questions on subjects such as health, astrology, reincarnation, while in a trance)-said Oujia Boards "dangerous." Although Cayce was a member of the Disciples of Christ (I suppose therefore Christian), and lived before the emergence of the New Age movement, he remains a major influence on its teachings and introduced us to "Akashic records," "spiritual growth," "auras," "soul mates,"

Occultist Manly P. Hall, the founder of the Philosophical Research Society and an early authority on the occult in the 20th century, stated that, "during the last 20-25 years I have had considerable personal experience with persons who have complicated their lives through dabbling with the Ouija board. Out of every hundred such cases, at least 95 are worse off for the experience." He went on to say that, "I know of broken homes, estranged families, and even suicides that can be traced directly to this source."

Famous Escape Artist, Harry Houdini (Jewish) who worked to debunk self-proclaimed psychics and mediums, wrote that five people from Carrito, California were driven insane by using a board.

Dr. Carl Wickland (religion not known), psychiatrist, paranormal researcher and author stated that "the serious problem of alienation and mental derangement attending ignorant psychic experiments was first brought to my attention by cases of several persons whose seemingly harmless experiences with automatic writing and the Ouija board resulted in such wild insanity that commitment to asylums was necessitated."

I also know many non-Christian psyhics that feel that the Ouija board is dangerous.

This might sound contradictory, but even though I believe in the ability to connect to the Divine using divinaiton tools such asThe Tarot and Runes, and even though I am Wiccan, I was taught not to mess with the Ouija Board.

One of the first questions I read on R & S was about a Ouija board that was "stalking" a Christian. Apparently it wouldn't be burned or destroyed by any means. I thought it was so silly. That a piece of cardboard burned up in a fire would show up, intact, on your coffee table the next day?.....silly!! And they call Wiccans superstious! -- But guilt can do amazing things to the mind of a person who believes in evil. And that is all there is to it---basically the person using the board projects his own subconscience thoughts and feelings onto it. --- Blessings!

The Ouija was not invented by Parker brothers, it was a 16th century conduit it was that Parker brothers found it interesting and sold it as a game. And the last part about the amplifier is true but being a toy is not.

Well all I will add to this debate is that as far as Christians are concerned and the Ouija, to them it's the Devil's work..
They don't understand it or it isn't in their book of terror, aka The Bible, then it's Satan or the Devil who get blamed...

Their Bible, I think is their instruction sheet for life, if it isn't in there, it either doesn't exist or once again we get back to the Devil thing...
They are hard people to debate with as they have very limited knowledge outside of the square they live in....
Blessed Be... )O(

Their faith in what they believe is real is fading with every thing elese! The world is going to end soon so why dosnt everybody get over their fear of demons and ouiji boards!!!!!!

You're talking about a relatively few people. I doubt most self identified Christians would give serious thought to a Ouija board.

Once again, you are right Terry. Most are afraid of the darkness within, in other words facing their own "demons".

It is not their god (note lower case 'g') that is weak but their individual faith that is weak, thus the fear of anyone who believes differently. The same statement applies to Islamic fanatics, also.
