I don't know where you want to go to school, but in California, U.C. Davis is the best school for anything like that (they also have the only vet school in the state).

You don't give us enough information so that we can help you. We need to know how much you can afford to spend on education each year (and what state you are from), what your GPA/Standardized tests were on average, whether you like big schools or small schools better, etc. If you want to work with animals, a Biology degree would be appropriate. Also, some schools have agricultural programs that would have degree in animal sciences (like Poultry Science, etc.).

This is biased, I must admit, but Virginia Tech would be a good school for that (Go Hokies!). But I don't know enough to offer more advice. You will have to do the research yourself.
