With your last name being Connonr you best stay away from names that sound like your last name. Your son will be upset with you for a long long time.
I do'nt like the first name of Gage
How about
Kayton Thomas
Noah Brian
Kaleb Thomas
Brett Thomas

I like Caden Blaine.
Gage Thomas... the name gage alone I don't care for.
I also like Noah and Cameron. Cameron is just another of many BOY names that girls have recently "taken over" sort of! I still consider it perfectly acceptable and masculine for a boy.
Cain Thomas is also very nice... my only hesitation since you brought up being unsure of it... would be the Biblical origin... Cain and Abel (sons of Adam and Eve)... poor Cain was overtaken by jealousy and committed the first murder in human history... other than that, it sounds nice!
Yes, Cannon Connor would be weird-sounding!
I like your Caden and Noah name ideas best.
What about Caden Thomas?
Well you have a lot of good names to work with... good luck!

Love Gage Thomas and Caden... not so sure about Blaine. I like Thomas as a middle name for Caden as well. As for your husband's opinion, I think Cadence, with the CE is girly but not Caden.
Cannon Connor would be too weird. - Make sure to look at names without the middle names, too! Like, Cannon __(random mid name)__ Connor might not sound bad, but when you drop the middle name it's terrible! Before you decide on a name for sure, try saying it with just the first and last name, since the middle name will rarely be used!
Overall, I think I like Gage Thomas Connor. Gage Connor sounds good, whereas Caden Connor might start sounding weird, just like Cannon!

Love the name Jessie too, but for a boy, you'd spell it as
Jesse. How about:
Jesse Thomas
Jesse Gage
Thomas Noah
Noah Gage
Kenyon Cain
Kenton Thomas
Cameron Gage
Caden Gage
And tell hubby Cameron and Caden are very masculine names. I'd hate either of those for a girl's name. Yuck! Camille and Caitlin are feminine names. Big difference between Cameron and Caden!
Good luck!

You could try Zaine as a different form of Cain (since you are worried about that). Zaine Thomas Connor sounds nice and would still honor your grandfathers. Also, try different spellings. Zane, Zaine, Xain maybe this will work? Cannon Connor is a little wierd sounding, but mostly hard to say. Caden, Caiden, Caidon, Kaidon, Kayden, etc... For the longest time I wanted to name my son Kaiden James, but it is becoming way too popular. Hope this helps

Cameron Cain, I love the name Caden, but not with any of those other names. Noah Cain. As I see it if you are unsure about Cain, then use it as a middle name. It will still honor them. How about Jaden or Aidan???? or Camden? I had this problem and my son is a Jr. now. So try to decide.

Cannon Conner doesn't sound to bad, and it is a very nice name. Now, I like Cannon Conner much better than I do Cain Conner! Cannon Thomas Conner sounds good together as does Gage Thomas. If you choose a "C" first name don't choose a "C" middle name. Three C's in a row would be quite a mouth full. Congratulations. I'm sure you'll choose a beautiful name.
