"One who flows as Life flows has solved the enigma of human existence and needs no other power." --Lao Tsu

We don't trust Life so we fear and resist. Case in point:

You missed your flight and you are fuming. You try to get the next one out on Stand-by, but there is no space. Finally, another two hours later, a seat comes available and you get on. It's in First Class, so that's where they put you. You are still so upset over the "inconvenience" of your delayed departure that you never strike-up an acquaintance with the seemingly friendly person next to you who, after developing a casual dialogue would be ready to offer you your dream job.

A conversation that never happened.

Instead, in silence, you proceed on to an interview for a mediocre job opening that you feared might be the only answer to your desperate prayers.

Who will tell whether one happy moment of love, or the joy of breathing or walking on a bright morning and smelling the fresh air, is not worth all the suffering and effort which life implies?

I admit it's tempting to wish for the perfect boss, the perfect parent, or the perfect outfit. But maybe the best any of us can do is not quit, play the hand we've been dealt, and accessorize what we've got.

Maybe some women aren't meant to be tamed. Maybe they're supposed to run wild until they find someone -- just as wild -- to run with.

Can you get to your future if your past is present?

"Silence is the path to hearing your thoughts and understanding yourself. Those who surround themselves in noise are simply afraid of that fact."
