I must agree with Gracie ^, the music becomes timeless because of the memories that it evokes in your heart. The music that I shared with my mom when she was alive, keeps her memory alive in my heart. The music that I have been able to share with my sons and enjoy, have been very special to me and I know to them as well...Great Question! Thank you...

It's timeless when it appeals to so many different people and everyone recognizes it......or when it brings you back to a certain time and stirs up old memories. Something can bring me back to when I was a teenager, or something else will make me think of my mother singing along to music from her time. I'm 56 and I love it when I hear music from the 50's and 60's popping up in movies....especially the original versions. And it always made me laugh when my sons couldn't figure out why I knew a lot of their music (the 80's and 90's), and they always got a little huffy when I told them it was because it my generation's music, just being redone by different groups and singers. Good question!

the fact like the muysic or song is one that everyone has been waiting for but not able to make,. the one everyone is trying to think about and someone finally gets it, the fact that you just feel so good listening to that song because you love it. Thats what makes music special. It makes us happy and has a ring that echoes through generations!
