Ok, here's what you've gotta do (I love when people say that). Burn all the music from that person's library and simply copy it onto your computer's itunes library. Then, when you plug in your pod, the music will be yours and hey, you've got a backup too. Stuff you download from Limewire makes it's own handy folder in the iTunes library and will also be imported into your pod when you plug it in , no prob. You need to use your computer as a base for sure. There is software that will circumvent this on versiontracker.com but you will need that software on your friend's PC

When you hook your iPod up to a computer it establishes a link with the iTunes jukebox and copies the checked songs from that library onto the iPod, deleting any songs on the iPod that don't match with the checked songs in your iTunes jukebox. If you've been using another computer, then when you link to your own computer the iPod will delete the music files on it's hard drive in favor of the songs on your computer.

I have yet to use their movie service, though I have downloaded several music videos. I believe iTunes moves are around $10 or $12 on up, and downloading movies is supposed to be as simple as downloading music, but I'm not certain how much space they take up.

So far as I know, you can not move music from your iPod to your computer.

I have an iPod as well as iTV. I wish I had read your questions and these answers a month or two back when I overloaded my laptop with music and decided to switch it to my desktop. Ughhh, I'm still recovering from the mess I made.

Whatever you do, BACKUP your music when you purchase it online because if you aren't an expert like the folks who have answered your questions you most likely will "lose it" at some point.

iTunes allows you to authorize up to five machines on which to play your music. Only download movies if you have a great deal of space on your computer. I happen to love downloading the TV shows since I cannot manage to stay awake at night. Also, when I suddenly "discover" a show as I did recently with "The Closer" and "Confessions of a Matchmaker," I can purchase all the episodes and watch from beginning to end to see how the writers have developed the characters. Also, I have become addicted to audiobooks from audible.com.

To download your photos, simply check the photos box on iTunes. Be careful how many you choose because they, too, eat up memory on the iPod.

on your computer change the settings for a connected ipod so that you manually manage your music and videos. then save changes and close itunes. download idump from download.com. open that and plug in your ipod. itunes should not run because you changed the settings. idump will take the songs on your ipod and put them on the computer, then you can change your settings back and nothing will be deleted. this can be done as many times as you need and your ipod will not mess up. movies are more expensive than a dollar on itunes and they can add up, space-wize. its much easier to download them because theyre already on itunes but they cost money. change the photo settings in itunes to sync certain photos.

All you have to do is set your iPod to "Manually Manage Music", then it doesn't matter how many computers you hook it up to. BUT you cant play other people's purchased iTunes music on your computer, you can listen to it on your iPod.

Hell no, movies aren't 1$, they're full price, like what you would pay in a regular store.

i'd desire to bypass with the iPod touch utilising certainty of problem-unfastened touch-teach show navigation and an magnificent length teach show. The teach show length is appropriate for taking part in video clips on the bypass. The track sounds large indoors the process the headphones, yet you are able to in uncomplicated terms use the headphones that come out of the sector, no different headphones will better wholesome. 8GB isn't that plenty, yet as quickly as you dont prefer to word various of reminiscence, 8GB may well be very precise. in case you prefer to get a better cost-valuable iPod bypass with the classic, yet i do propose the touch.

And this is why Ipods are crap, you actually have to burn a cd or carry seperate storage just to get data from one computer to the next to put them on your player and download extra applications to circumvent this process. Oh the pleasures of devices with Universal Mass Storage.

so u can use any itunes of any computer u have to make your ipod manually edited. in the ipod tab theres like a box checked or maybe unchecked that says manually manage songs and videos. make sure thats checked. then u can go to any itunes and just drag n drop any songs u want in ur ipod. as ez as that.
thats one =P

u can get movies in ur ipod for free if u want. u can extract the movie from a dvd to ur computer by downloading dvd decrypter from the internet. just google dvd decrytper and download one. install it and just put in the dvd and put it to disk. it takes about 2 gigs of ur space but u can delete it once its in ur ipod.

or

u can get videos from youtube. u have to get firefox. its like internet explorer if u dont know wat it is. kinda faster and has good features on it. and download a plug in for it on firefox.com. thats also the site where u download it. the plug in u want to get it videodownloader. search for it on the plug in page on firefox.com. after u download it it will install by itself n will tell u to restart firefox. then u restart it and it will be down there.

with this plug in u can download videos from youtube and other sites. once u have it on firefox try it out by going to a video on youtube. when u chooe the video play the video. there should be a video downloader icon down there. click that and there should be a blue link thing. right click that link and click save as.
make sure u name the file to name.flv
name = any name u want
and the .flv part
has to go in the end
after thats done downloading

u need a program thats called videora.
this is a program taht makes ur videos turn to ipod video files xD long process to get vids in ur ipod but im helping u out as much as i can n my job to make ur life easer =P
and after u dl a video from youtube or get teh video on dvd decrypter use videora and convert the file to .avi file which is video played on ipod. videora is just one click so it will convert by itself. nwo when its done converting
look for hte file. it shows in videora where the file goes.
find that file in my computer and drag that file to ur ipod on itunes. =P
