My local Pep Boys has this one tard working the parts counter who can never figure out what I need, even when he is looking at probably the world's biggest retail parts database. Once I needed a windshield wiper motor, so I went there, and he looked up my exact car, wrote down the part number, and brought out a motor from some other vehicle. I did not recognize it as matching the one on my car, so I told him it was the wrong one, then he went back and miraculously brought out the right one. The same thing happened with the front brake pads on another trip, only that time I had the old pads with me, so he could see they didn't match. Yet another time I asked for spark plug wires for my Neon. Most people know it is a four cylinder, and uses four wires, but not this guy. Again, he looked up my car, disappeared for a moment, and brought out a set of SIX wires for who KNOWS what car. I always know what the parts are supposed to look like, and sometimes I even take the old part with me to compare it, but dammit, what if I didn't? I would be pretty furious if I had to make another trip because Corky gave me the wrong part and I didn't notice. If anyone from Pep Boys is reading, please note that I am all for hiring the handicapped, but for God's sake, don't put them behind the parts counter. Have them sweep the floors and straighten the shelves.

I went into a Pep Boys for a newcar air freshener, but had to use the bathroom soon after I picked out my favorite. The employee politely directed me to the bathroom.
When I got in the bathroom, my stomach was about ready to explode. I barely made it to the toilet. I ate Jalapeno poppers the night before, and did shots of hot sauce. There were splatters everywhere. (We were out celebrating my brother's wedding, and the girls got a little out of control)
To my complete and utter horror, I noticed there wasn't any toilet paper. I was wearing a dress and had no pockets.
I had no choice - I wiped my *** with the air freshener. I'm so glad I chose the pine scented one when I first got to the store. It stung so bad!
Then, I noticed that the bathroom door had been open all the time and everyone saw what happened.
That was definitely my worst experience ever at a major auto parts place. I still shop there, though. They have very reasonable prices.

A long time ago, I delivered a sandwich to an employee at an auto store - that ordered by phone - he wanted to fight when I arrived just because I asked him if anybody ordered a sandwich....

One time I bought an alternator and a voltage regulator for my Toyota pickup at Pep Boys and their bathroom was out of Lava Soap.
I had grease on my hands for a week.
