If A-Rod stays healthy he could wind up with around 800 homeruns. If Bonds is healthy and decides to play another year or two he could also be around that number. Remember, Bonds is only about 90 hits short of 3,000, and he would love to add that to his accomplishments as well. I think we can expect him back next year, at least.

Unless Arod stops using HGH then ya he probably will. But really the home runs is not what makes bonds great, he is the whole package. Power, speed, defense, a good eye at the plate, and being able to make solid contact consistently. If Barry didnt have 756 homers and he only 656 he would still be the best all around player of all time.

Check the numbers Bonds is just a great player. His 7 MVP'S arent bad either

Assuming good health, yes. The only concern is if he winds up having the Griffey Jr problem. Griffey would've already been at 600 homers had he not been injured for 3 or 4 straight years. Arod can easily play another 10 years averaging 30 homers a year. That would put him around 800 which I don't think Bonds will surpass

I hope he does i aint much of a Barry Bonds fan and i think that there alot whom agree with me.But i been thinking unless something happens to A-Rod he should more than pass ole Barry there. He has what 499 now and he still has a few years yet to play and Bonds should retire.

He has a good chance. If he averages 40 hr's for about 9 or 10 yrs , which is entirely possible he will pass him. The Yanks will have a new stadium in 09 , and I'm betting they bring the OF wall in too.

Chances are he most likely will. A-Rod had more homeruns than Bonds, when Bonds was A-Rods age. Also, the fact that A-Rod will probably not be swarmed with the steroid scandal will allow him to focus more on hitting home runs.

Barring a major injury he will break Bonds homerun record in due time.

Without a doubt. If A-Rod can remain healthy and continue on his current pace he will set a record that will take generations of players to overcome. I hate the bastard!
