On the very first day I got sick and tired of having to go to Vista and say "Yes I really meant to turn on a program that accesses the Internet" because it is sitting there doing nothing while waiting for you to give it the Go-Ahead.
I was also really annoyed that a home network of XP and Vista computers can not find the XP ones until you go and add a program to the XP. Both operating systems came from Microsoft. They should have built that into Vista instead of making millions of users do their work for them.

Windows Vista is just a complete waste of money. Microsoft rushed their product way too much, and made too many mistakes. There are much better operating systems. If someone has got their mind made up about having the great graphical effects of Windows Vista, they should choose Ubuntu Linux with Beryl. The software is completely free and much more stable then Windows Vista. However, if someone wants to keep using Windows, I'd recommend staying with Windows XP, and waiting to upgrade until Microsoft improves their product by either releasing a Service Pack or two, or builds another operating system based off of Windows Vista.

There's nothing wrong with vista, like all new operating systems it still has some bugs but in a year it should be fine. As long as you have decent hardware it's a great OS but if you're built for XP I'd recommend staying with XP.

I have a new laptop that came with Vista and other than learning where things are, I really haven't had any problems with it. I must say I was expecting to hate it though. : )

I don't mind it one bit. I haven't had any major issues or problems with it at all.
