Yes...The Woodlands is a burgeoning suburb of Houston. It is thriving, and also a very attractive area to live, work, shop and play. Many corporations have corporate campuses here, and there are six golf courses. The land used to be a lumber mill, and is 25 miles north of downtown Houston.

As far as schools go, The Woodlands High School was ranked #751 out of the 1000 best high schools in America according to Newsweek in 2007. The Woodlands College Park High School is a brand new school built to relieve the other school and one of the newer neighborhoods will zoned to Tomball High School. Of course, educational prestige is thriving in this area.

They also have a large mall with 180+ stores, a lot of outdoor activities (and there are lots of them), a resort and conference center, and an outdoor performing arts pavilion that has hosted major concerts. The population of The Woodlands as of 2005 is 65,744.

In other words, of course there are a lot of people who live in The Woodlands, and Texas schools can be easy or hard, depending on how hard you try and what school you attend (not to mention the competency of the coursework you could be taking).

I live in Houston.
Texas has hard and easy schools.
They are anything but consistant.
