I really don't understand Vegaswoman or bleachedoutblondie and their frivolous attitude concerning this?

Either they don't pay attention and read exactly what powers the President has given himself with NSPD 51 & HSPD 20.
OR
They don't care.
OR
They are so self involved they can't see how this will affect millions of their fellow countrymen.
OR
They actually feel Americans should be arrested for disagreeing with a corrupt government.

In any case what GW Bush has done is dangerous to freedom and liberty!

The really frightening thing is how many American citizens think this is acceptable!

Our country was founded on the principle that the government should NEVER have this kind of absolute power over it's citizens!!

Does anyone else get the feeling that Bush either doesnt think ahead, or doesnt plan to leave office?

I saw this awhile ago and have been waiting for someone important to shoot it down.

No one should have this kind of power, not Bush, not whoever succeeds him. Hopefully this will put an end to the ridiculous and unconstitutional use of Presidential Directives.

Here ya go unbelievers-the address for the directive on the white house website.

To the defenders though--how will you feel if Hillary wins and has this same power?

I am with you Kelly B. -Vegas lady is either a paid GOP prop or she is really an idiot...I am not sure yet....but I am keeping my eye on her>>>LOL!!!
I am not a Democrat or a republican but the people of this country that don't believe Marshall law can happen here in this country should really do some research on WWII and pay attention to the similarities of what this administration is doing. It is the most frightening thing I have studied in a very long time!

Yep its stuff like that which has gotten some dems and lefties all upset and angry, but dont worry, the masses far out number the elite rich white bankers and oil barrons who are behind all this, if you add em up there are only about 10,000 members of the elite families. That nowhere near enough to stop an angry horde of perhaps 200 million people. The biggest problem is informing the hordes when the govt has their grubby little eyes and ears all over the worlds electronic communications networks.

I have to assume that this is in response to the cooperation that he received from the local government in Louisiana before, during and after the Katrina disaster. not to mention the beating he has taken over the Katrina debacle, when legally he had no rights to step in and take over without the consent of Blanco and Nagin.

King George? I didn't see anything about it that scared me except that in event that our country is attacked he has made provisions for how it should continue to run if he couldn't do it. He did the same sort of thing I think it was in the January following 9/11. What should bother people is why he feels he need, like maybe there is some truth to the warnings?

Yes, his activities for years have suggested that he was steering the government towards being a fascist dictatorship.

It doesn't suprise me. The Bush family is power hungry.

I don't think he can do anything with out the majority vote of the House and Senate. He does not have that kind of power nor backing.
