1. Weigh the components of the reaction before and after.
The "lost" mass at the end is escaped (not dissolved) CO2.

2.Divide the number of grams of lost mass by 44.0095 (molar mass of CO2) to get the number of moles.




This presumes, of course, that you are correct in identifying the escaped gas as CO2. Since you have mislabeled HCl (hydrochloric acid) as calcium chloride, that's not necessarily a safe presumption. ;)
