If you don't have a medical reason to be induced, like high blood pressure or problems with the baby, and you don't want to be induced, then don't be induced. Your baby will come when it's ready, and you theoretically have two weeks left before you're even due. Based on what I'm hearing on here (barring any physical ailments and true health problems), are all doctors induction-happy or what? I always got such a kick out of knowing that even though I was perfectly miserable and wanted my body back by the end, my children got to pick their own date - even my c-section baby. Google the risks of induction and educate yourself so you can make the best decision for you and your baby ... and realize that the baby might not be ready. Also, a lot can happen in a week... And know that it won't last for much longer.

I went into labor after having a few orgasms. It was fun, and helped along the labor process!!!!
I had sex (w/ 3 big O's) and went into labor 5 hours later!!!!

walking is really the only other thing that's safe to try. I have been in that spot twice though and i know how frustrating it is. there are a lot of methods out there, but most of them can cause harm to you or the baby. run anything you hear through your doctor or midwife first. so sorry to tell you that. when the time comes, it will suddenly seem like you're not ready at all. You will make it through this last little bit fine.

You should just wait a week or two! Then talk to your doctor about inducing labor. The baby might not be all the way ready right now!

All of the suggestions are good, but you should wait a little longer. 36 weeks is a bit early and a lot of babies have problems with their lungs that early. In fact, one of the things that leads to contractions is a signal that your baby sends to your pituitary gland when her lungs are ready. So, I would wait a little longer and then start the stuff mentioned. Also, you could start taking evening primrose oil. That will help to get your cervix ready.

Well you know how your breast leak right? Try this. when you have a baby, and you breast feed, it causes your uterus to contract. I'm not sure if this is your first kid, and you've never breastfed before, but if not, squeeze your breast as if you're trying to squeeze something out of it. Do it a couple of times a day, and your uterus WILL contract some more. this may or may not work. But its worth the try. Ask your husband to suck on your breast paying close attention to the main part surrounding your nipple. Tell him not to be too rough, cuz i know they hurt. good luck!

I felt the same way you did while I was pregnant with my daughter
I went to Walmart, bought a tiny bottle of caster oil and a bottle of pepsi (you wil need a big one).
I went to my aunts house and drank the recommended serving --- Forget what that was i googled it. The caster oil is very hard to get down and taste very bad, the pepsi carbonation will help you get it down smoother. try mixing it or doing a little shop of it then a shot of pepsi.
Warning: I ended up spending most of the night on the toilet crapping (gross I know)
I went to bed that night disappointed, thinking i Had drank that all for nothing.
I woke up at 6 am the next morning and my water broke.
15 hours after drinking it.
Good luck!!!

She'll arrive when she's ready; they still consider 36 weeks premature, you know that, right?
but for the future, as people have said:
sex (specifically, ORGASMS)
spicy food
castor oil (will cause lots of diarrhea, some people think all the bowel movement stimulates the uterus to start contracting)
nipple stimulation

*Your Achilles tendon-massage it from both sides. Then go to the next side and do the same.
*Before you do this, make sure your hospital bag is packed.
*I can't explain this. It worked for me in less than five hours.
