If they do that, they should bring enough for everyone.

When you are a mother, you are damned if you do and damned if you don't.
You probably would have been just as offended if her baby was screaming, yet for her to give her baby the one thing that consoles its screams you persecute her for that. Back off . . . with all the horrible mothering that occurs why should you hate on someone for being a good mother.
Breastfeeding is natural . . . not natural like sex or peeing, natural like sweating, eating, crying . . . if you have the right to do this in public, so should she.
The breast is not a sex organ, it performs NO sexual function. It has just been stigmatized in our society. The ONLY function it performs is to feed young . . .
Since this is a HUMAN RIGHTS issue, the law is on her side. She has the RIGHT to breastfeed her baby anywhere you are allowed to bottle feed yours . . So the ignorant responses don't matter anyways.
If the sight of a breast really offends your appetite, you might consider seeking counsel, or you could just not look at it.

Oh you poor thing! You must be so traumatized.....the NERVE of that mother, using her breasts to feed her infant.....doesn't she know that breasts are only for showing off in low cut clothing and for porn stars to flaunt?
Honestly people! Grow up!
One poster mentioned young boys being distracted by a breastfeeding Mom. That's ridiculous. My son is 10, and he is more mature about seeing a baby nursing than most of the so called adults that posted here.

It's rude.....I know it's nature, but it's not the same as it was 20 years ago. People breastfeeding need to cover up. (I'll probably have 1000 breastfeeding mothers at my door tomorrow)
We used to have a mother breastfeed her 2 year old (YES, I SAID 2 YEAR OLD) at one of my son's functions. There were boys there that ranged from 6-19. It was a very big distraction to the boys. I finally said something to her, because I thought it was rude. I believe in breastfeeding, but I also believe in being tactful about it.

Well, I know I'm gonna be hated for this, but I bottle fed both my babies, and I am uncomfortable in the presence of breastfeeders, even family and friends, can't help feeling the need to look away. Sorry guys, I just don't want to see anyones breasts being suckled in ANY situation.

i don't have any thing against a women breast feeding but you could at least use a blanket and have consideration for the other people in the restaurant, most people would put there breast milk in a bottle if they plan on being in a public place

She should have left the table to do it. and to do it without a blanket out in the open is unacceptable and irresponsible.
breastfeeding is not a big deal, but there does need to be a respect for those around you.

I don't think that it's appropriate to breast feed in public. It does make people uncomfortable, and in most cases if you go to a nice restaurant they have a lounge area by the rest rooms that you can use.

Lol! You are so funny! I'm giving you a star for this!
I think it's rude, weird and impolite. And it makes the waiters very uncomfortable -- yeah, I'd say that was weird...

No, it is not rude.
We have to stop persecuting women for having children. You don't like it then Just. Don't. Look.
She may not have the option of using the bathroom, there may be no chair, she'd have to sit on a filthy toilet, etc.
Personally I think it's idiotic for people in this "enlightened" country of ours to continue with these attitudes.
There is one, and only one, reason to have these boobs, and you think it should be illegal to use them?
