No, no, and no!!!!!!!!

He's very inconsistent! Some days he's good, average, or just plain awful. His ERA has been over 4 the past 5 years. His BB on ball numbers are always around HALF of how many strike-outs he has. He hits about 10+ per year. He has 20 more career wins than losses.

Listen, I love the Sox, but I was very, VERY unhappy when they resigned Wake. He's a nice guy, but I just don't even consider him a great pitcher. Maybe average, but never awesome!

Tim Wakefield has always been my favorite pitcher. I love his knuckleball. I remember when he was a rookie pitcher playing for the Pirates alongside Barry Bonds.

Wakefield carried them through the second half of the season as a starting pitcher & did everything he possibly could during the playoffs against the Braves. Pirates lost game 7 in the bottom of the ninth inning.

Awesome might be a bit too much. I have always loved the Sox, you can tell by the scar tissue around my heart, but anyway, when he is "ON", he is unbeatable, but he is inconsistent. He is however, much better indoors than out. I still wouldn't get rid of him for any other pitcher on ANY team. GO SOX!!

I would say good but not awesome. When his knuckle ball is working and he is throwing it for strikes he is very difficult to hit. However, when he is not throwing the knuckle ball over the plate and has to come in with a 80mph fastball he is very hittable. He is 12-9 with an ERA of 4.59 and a WHIP of 1.35 and that is very average.
