Are you on the lake to impress someone or are you there to fish? Who cares what other people think. There are plenty of center consoles on inland lakes, fishing, skiing, and tubing.
Now if you try putting a charter boat, say 40' long with a 10.5' beam in at the boat ramp, you might get some strange looks from people.
