I'm sure this is a myth - products that contain alcohol or harsh chemical will dry out the skin and probable cause more acne and irritated skin. Use Aqueous cream as a cleanser and Cetaphil as a moisturiser instead.

I would not use windex on your skin. It is very alkaline, meaning it would be very harsh on your skin. It might cause you lots of problems. You should only use products that are designed to be used on your skin.
I had terrible acne as a teenager and young adult. I really had good results with Neutrogena Acne Wash. It is a light orange liquid soap and can be found in a pump top container.
I also really like the Burt's Bees line of products. It can be very pricey, but a good natural line of products. It can be difficult to find in some areas. I purchase mine from drugstore.com.

Windex is made from ammonia. If you want to get rid of acne, purchase spirited goat milk soap from www.dandesoap.com. My son had it on his back, neck, head and lower back. We also got the Tea Tree lotion she recommended and that got rid of the blackheads and killed the pain and infected acne. The spirited goat milk is made from spearmint and it takes down the inflammation, kills infection and dries up the bumps and keeps the skin moist and hydrated. It costed us all of $10 and he has not had a problem since. He buys it now to keep a great looking complexion and it helped he not get any scars too.

It probably dries out a pimple, but the toxicity of it isn't worth it, especially when there are loads of other cheap alternatives that will do the job fine. When I used to have more severe acne I would dab rubbing alcohol onto the zit and that worked pretty well. It shrunk it within a few days without that horrible scabbiness you get from using toothpaste on a pimple.

Hi,
I am a dermatologist by profession and within a careeer of 10 years I have seen lots of acne problems. According to me Red and white pimples are the worst and painful. Acneprone skin is very sensitive, even if you touch it once the redness will increase with itching. According to me there is no magical way to heal your pimples over night as this is the puffed part of your skin due to the bacteria.
In simple words try to improve your diet and have lots of water that helps in healingg process. Un-necessary oily food should be avoided to get a healthy spotless skin.

Windex will only help if your windows have acne. Try something else.

I totally think it works. I've been trying all sorts of chemicals and potions and out of desperation, and in the spirit of My Big Fat Greek Wedding, I tried it - it works. It is the ONLY product that has helped. I don't think Windex is that harsh a chemical. I've actually found it quite gentle.

While it took little less than two months for me to really see a difference, my acne, blackheads and whole lot of other skin problems I had such as eczema had completely cleared! It was totally amazing...

No, no no! People have said this because it has germ fighting things in it. However acne is NOT about germs. It's systemic so it comes from inside your body not on your skin.
