I'm currently cycling a 55 gallon tank (its been almost 2 weeks), and I really want to get a pike cichlid. I know their very agressive, so don't warn me not to get one please. I know that they pretty much eat anything that will fit in their mouth as well. But any information on what kind of tankmates they can live with would be great. I'm thinking about getting a dwarf pike if that helps at all. Thanks.

Dwarf pikes will be fine with large tiger barbs, large giant danios, large rainbows, silver dollars, keyhole cichlids, Bolivian rams, rainbow cichlids, plecos, synodontis catfish, and jewel cichlids. I have kept the compressiceps before, I really didn't find it to be that aggressive. Email me if you have any questions.

Only something about 2X the size of the pike will have a chance of the pike not at least trying to eat it. I would also strongly suggest you avoid any type of catfish with spines in it's fins (which is by far most) as if the pike tries to eat it, it could easily kill the pike.

Cool fish, I very much enjoy keeping them.

it's really the larger kinds that tend to be agressive,
i agree with the suggested fish, i think that would make a killer tank.
you coul maybe try a leopard ctenopoma or senegal bichir or african butterflyfish
