Do you just leave your shopping cart next to your car or do you dispose of it properly?

I always put mine away because so many people have left them at my car and bumped/scratched my front bumper--that drives me crazy!

But I used to leave them around. What made me change is once when I was waiting outside a grocery store for someone I saw a cart (left behind by someone) being pushed really fast by the wind, heading down the downhill slope of the parking lot. The lot was pretty empty and far out was a porsche parked all by itself. By the time I saw this it was too late, but the wind took the stray cart right into the side of the porsche and left 4 huge dents in the side! It was so painful to watch.

If the store allows me to do so, I "dispose of it properly". If not, I put it in the Cross areas of the Parking Spaces/lots.

I leave it next to my car. BUT
I never did this until I had kids. It's hard shopping and getting kids in the car. I am in a hurry to make sure they are in the van and not about to get hit by cars....
If I am alone then I will put it up

I usually put it back properly. Those things cost the stores a LOT of money.

if I have both my toddlers with me ( 2 and 3 yrs old ) I leave it next to the car if I can, if not I leave the van doors open so I can run and return, I always try to park next to the cart return. If Im by myself then I always return it!

I bring it back every single time.

It's a b**** to go around the parking lot hunting for those damn things. And it's just being rude if you leave it someplace randomly.

Well....it depends if I'm in a good part of town I put it back, but if I'm in a bad part of town...or if it's dark out i leave it where the paint lines intersect.
