All numbers.
Ask 10 people and the most you will sell to is 10 people.
ask 100 people and the most you will sell to is 100 people
Find out how many you must ask to sell enough to make money, if you can't ask that many people in the hours you work, you need to find another job.

Think about what you are doing. Who are you selling to? Do they really need it? Get the customer to talk, learn about them.
If you are selling cars you need to find out if they have kids. The man may be looking at the sports car because he would like it but if he has 6 kids he needs the Mini Van.
