I'll be watching it. Ripken and Gwynn are perfect examples of what a pro baseball player should be. Being from Chicago, I have seen both of them play against our teams and, while they kicked our butt, you have to root for them. Unfortunately, I think that many more people will be watching Barry though.

1. You bet I am!!!
2. Yes.
A. As job transfers among other situations that send people away from their homes, that is something that doesn't excludes Orioles fans. Though this excludes myself, not all of us fans live in or close to the state of Maryland.
B. I've attended Fenway Park in 2001 when Cal made his second to last appearance in Boston. He was cheered by every fan in the stadium everytime he came to bat. The guy could hit a homerun and he would have gotten cheered up there.
C. I think most baseball fans of any team will have a measure of respect for him bringing some life back into the game simply by being himself after the 1994 players strike. I also most baseball fans respect and appreciate what Tony Gwynn also meant to the game as being one of it's greatest hitters, and he was a guy who also carried himself in a classy manner.
The baseball hall of fame inductions are meant to reflect the careers and the personas of the players getting inducted for all fans to see, not just the fans of the teams that players played for.
3. I don't think that if Bonds hits any homeruns tommorow that it will overshadow the intial cerimony, however I do think that ESPN will spend a lot of time talking about it, and that it will preempt some of the time that will be allotted for discussion on the brand new hall of famers.

I don't know if I'll catch it on TV. If I’m channel-surfing and hit it, though, I'll probably watch until the end.
I can guarantee one thing, though. This will be the last inductee class of its kind. Both Ripken and Gwynn played their entire careers with just one team apiece.
With all the free agency nowadays — especially among star players — I don’t think we'll see a class with that credential ever again.

I will be tuned in to it. Got a problem with that?
I live in neither San Diego nor Baltimore, so yes on that one.
Nothing Bonds does will overshadow these men. Unlike Bonds, they are actually men--NOT punks like him. Bonds' record will be as worthless as **** on a bull, anyway. . . .
