Sodomy is what you are referring to, and it means basically anal or oral sex . In the Bible (Genesis, chapter 19, verses 1-11), the city of Sodom was destroyed by God because its homosexual citizens engaged in anal or oral sex either among themselves, with the opposite sex, or with animals. The city Gomorrah was destroyed for similar reasons. It is said God "rained fire and brimstone (old word for sulfur, which burns with a blue flame, & gives off the suffocating odor of sulfur dioxide)" on the cities to show them He would not tolerate their sinfulness any further.
