Well Guru, in order to answer this question the answerer must have a good perception of how others around him happen to be. It is a question derived by comparison. Therefore, the more accurate one is in knowing others, then the more accurate one can be at determining one's difference from others. In the same fashion, one must know himself well to make a more precise accessment of how different he/she may be from something or someone else... I'll stop right here because just this much of my answer should let you know that I am indeed more different from most. "I happen to think that is a good thing." I say that matter-of-factly, and not with any arrogance at all. Interaction with others can be, and most often is, difficult because those of us who truly are different, and not just in our minds, are misunderstood, shunned, talked about the most, and even attacked just because we are so different. We are the wheel inside the wheel. We are the block for the tackle. We are the variable. Without us the equation would be incomplete. Yet like most other things, most of us happen to be assets to our friends, family and community; others of us unfortunately are not. I don't think I chose to be so different, but I choose to be more different daily in trying to be more good than not with each rising sun. A difficult task indeed because I am just another man, but if at the end of the day whether others agree or not I am a positive force then I guess I've done well enough. Seems like you're a good person as well, so don't let those others hold you back, or pull you down...Take Care!

Everyone who thinks they're different is only being egotistical. There are more similarities in people then differences. If everyone would realize that, then they could see the world more as a whole, and could work together as a group to make changes in government and society.
anything anyone says that makes them different, I can think of someone who shares that trait or view. If everyone continues to separate themselves from others, then there are going to be bigger problems in the world then what we have now.

everyone is different, superficially.
and that is what it appears people see in themselves and have responded to.
that is why there are such a variety of cars, clothes, shoes, houses, etc.
what people don't seem to want to acknowledge is themselves. Their honesty, compassion, trustworthiness, love, helpfullness, etc.
That is why there are so many people being taken advantage of, because they are all the same. They respond to the same stimulus in much the same predictable way. Learn that and u control people as Hitler and others have.
I am 9 on trustworthy, and loyal to someone who reciprocates.
If not I won't have much to do with u.
I am a 10 on helpful. I go out of my way to help people.
I believe in loving everyone, but I am only about 6-7 on that so far. If I can't do something loving for someone, I usually go the other way.
I think that makes me uncommon.

At school kids think that I get A+'s and I dress in nice cloths so they think I am rich. I don't get A+'s all the time. I got a c once.In second grade I failed a paper. Kids at school think I like to listen to jazz or classical but i don't. I like pop music. So I guess my number on a scale would be 4 or 2. something that makes me special would be I know a lot of movie titles and song titles.

Well, people who know me well (which are few) would say 7 or 8, because of a variety of traits--being extremely thoughtful (over thinking everything) and my perception of the world is considered by all the people I know to be just odd, but I think it makes sense when I think it out, but I'll leave it at that.

I think it is more valuable to look for the similarities.. the things that make us better able to relate to each other. I think the core experience of living a human life is quite universal. I think the outer layers and beliefs that make us different aren't that important. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.

I call myself weird all the time but I think I'm a 8 or 8.5 on your scale. I've been to a psychiatrist because I had a brain injury two years ago that I'm still healing from . I do fine in college (I guess) but I feel like no one understands me and they all think I'm stupid.
