My husband is deployed and our anniversary is coming up soon. We can't be together so I need some ideas on how to make it special even though we are apart. I want to buy him something to send to him, but i have no clue what to get him. He already has a computer, dvd player, ipod, and does not want a tv. I want to get him something unique that will blow his mind and that he will always remember and treasure. Something that he can brag about LOL!! Help me please!!!! I want it to be special not depressing since we are apart. We are both excited about it, but depressed at the same time. I need some creative ideas please!!!!!!!!

Buy a digital camera/video camera, take tons of pictures/video of yourself, your family, and your home.

Put them on a CD, and mail him that with the camera. Attach a note that says "Your turn"

You can do something romantic like have a dinner setting with a "Reserved for you" sign, or "wish you were here"

;)

I wouldn't buy him a material possession, after all he misses YOU. And it is your anniversary. I would put together a little box of things that are special. I had a friend in the military stationed in Iraq, and for our friendship day (the day we met) i sent him a box that included, current pics of me and my family. A bottle of the perfume that I was wearing when we met, and stuff like that. He said it was the best gift that he ever got. Sense you and your husband are married I'm sure there are tons of things that he misses, when he thinks about you. Why not send him some *pictures* or a video of you and your family, or something silly that reminds him of the first time you all met? Like my husband I would send him a happy meal box, cause we actually met (lol) at McDonald's. Just some little things that might make you not seem so far away. But I really would push the perfume, then when he wants to feel you and smell you.. in a sense he can :)

Okay I don't know what branch of the military your husband is in but here's what you do; If he has any old BDU'S (Battle dress uniforms) hangin in the closet, get the jacket out and go to your local picture place where you can get "special" pictures done. Like a Glamor Shots or something close to that. Set up an appointment and wear what will look like nothing but his BDU jacket all sexied up, hair done, make up lookin good so on... You can wear little shorts but don't wear a bra. Button the jacket up to where you're not showing everything, you're just showing enough to show there's nothing on under his jacket You can cover your lower half enough where the shorts won't be seen giving out the look of you sitting on the floor in a sexy pose with nothing but his jacket on! I think he's be real happy to get a shot of you like that while he's away!

How about a bracelet, or a gold chain he can wear around his neck. In the old days, girls gave their men scarves when they went off to war. Now, men wear jewelry, and it is something that will remind him that you are behind him faithfully waiting and praying for him. If there is a charm to attach that will remind him of something just the two of you did together or dreamed of, or a secret thing, if you can find that & attach it, even better.

God Bless you both.

If you have anyone near-and-dear to you and your husband near you, do this:

1) Gather them together. (Would he like anyone who has camoflauge to wear them?)
2) Send a message--with each word written on a single sheet of paper. Have one person of your choice within the entire group hold up a piece of the message. (Have the whole group there, however.) The message may be anything simple from "We love you!" (three sheets of paper held by three people or three OF the people) to "We support your mission and think of you every day!" (Ten sheets held by ten or ten OF the people).
3) Blow it up to the size of your choice and have everyone in attendance sign it with their own wishes and thoughts.
4) Home-baked goodies (or store-bought packaged goodies if that's what they like) can accompany the message photo. Whoever contributes could tie the goodies up with an additional message from them personally.
5) In a "Top Secret" package...include something personal of yourself. (It could even be a little article of clothing he liked...with a note telling him that he needs to bring this back... for both of you.)

My heart is with you.

Make a video of home, things he loves including YOU and other members of the family. There are cards that you can buy that you can actually record your voice on, do that so he can hear you!!

and tell him to come home soon, we need our guys here!!!!

Good luck, and happy anniversary!!

What about a video of you and his family or kids. I am sure there is a way to transfer a video cassette to a DVD.
