Paula Deen is high on my list of favorites on Food Network, she's very down to earth and friendly with her cooking and the way she comes off on camera. I also like Racheal Ray, Ina Garten, and Emeril Lagasse for various reasons. They all come off as personable, friendly, and like the neighbor you wish you had. They're passionate about their craft, but they don't beat you over the head with their experience or status. I've seen Tyler Florence on the Food Network before, I like his style too. Along with that of Jamie Oliver (not listed).
There are two personalities that I absolutely cannot watch on Food Network, I change the channel whenever they come on, those are Bobby Flay, and Giada DeLaurentis. The two of them come off as very arrogant, and it just rubs me the wrong way. Every time I see them on camera they exhude this attitude of "I'm a professional, I'm better than you" which I don't care for one bit.
You left two other names off the list, Mario Batali, and Alton Brown. Mario's interesting to watch because while he cooks, he's kind of like that odd family member everyone has who's usually manning the stove at reunions and so on, he's teaching while he cooks, and that's something not everyone does well. I think that's the most sincere face Food Network has right now.
I have to agree with the other commentor that Alton Brown is good at what he does, and is fun to watch. It's easy to forget you're learning about food science while picking up some cool recipes and kitchen tips from his show Good Eats.

I love Rachael Ray!!! Can you believe there is actually an "I hate Rachael Ray Website" out there...all because she never went to culinary school!!! She is Great!! i know she has some CraZy Words that she uses... but, I think she is so genuine! I watched a true Hollywood Story about her... and she was literally found by accident!!! She had her quick 30 minute meals recipe that a local t.v. station got a hold of and so they gave her a little segment at the end of their afternoon broadcast... and she just went from there!!! She is awesome!!! It makes alot of us realize that out dreams can come true too!!!
I also really like Emeril Lagasse. Bobby Flay, and Tyler Florence!

Paula Dean for sure! I agree with everything you said. I love the relationship she has with her sons. Oh yes. . . and her kitchen! I really like that fireplace this is up higher than usual and in the kitchen. She is a doll.

I don't know, probably Ina Garten, but I can tell you that Giada woman seems so completely NOT genuine! She makes me crazy--I don't think she actually eats anything she cooks...

You forgot my favorite... Alton Brown. Good Eats is like watching Bill Nye the Science Guy... But with FOOD. And if you've watched his other show Feasting on Asphalt you'll notice that he's very funny and genuine.
