Skin rash?

I know this is a weird question to put on a pet section but I got a really severe skin rash on my hands. It happens to be where my new leopard geckos climb on and I'm not sure if it's coincidence or not. Is there such thing as being allergic to leopard geckos? Thanks.

Reptiles can carry bacteria, and you may have a specific sensitivity to one of them. Try washing your hands really well after handling to see if that makes a difference. Otherwise, you might want to wear gloves, or contact a dermatologist.
