i want to be in a movie or a tv show but do you need one to addution cuz i want to but i dont think my parents will get me one

Sammy is clueless, ignore her. You need to get an agent in order to be submitted for almost all professional auditions. Audition information is not made public. In order for an agent to become interested in offering you a contract you have to be able to prove you are good enough to act at the professional level. It's not a matter of your parents getting you one. They can't. Being on TV or in the movies is fun to think about. But you can't really do it. Just have fun being a kid for now.

No, but you need to know how to spell "audition." You can submit your headshot and resume directly to the casting directors. If you dont have those things, better find out how to get them. I advise young actors. I'd say if your parents are against the idea, you better forget it until you are older and have been in more school plays and gone to acting school.
Then find out how to try to get hired. That is what actors do most. Acting is only a very small part of what they do.

When you become famous, you don't really need an agent because an agent is only there to get you to become famous. Once you become famous, directors and producers will notice you and contact you. Before you become famous, an agent is IMPORTANT because he or she will get you roles and auditions. Just to let you know, they cots hundreds of dollars, but good luck!!!
