I just gotta ask this...MINIMUM WAGE DOESN'T EQUAL THIS, I don't understand, Do You?

Question

Not so long ago, with someone I know well, a woman about
60, was ill, with fever and taking antibiotics, and is on
Homehealth, to monitor her health.
The healthcare team treated this woman, very good, being
there, when they were needed, night or day.
While the woman was ill, she needed some help, with
some meal prep, the dishes, and sweeping the floor,
and if needed, to assist with bathing needs.
Normally this woman's health is quite good, and she
can do for herself, but she needed help, so applied
for a Personal Care Assistant to perform the duties
mentioned above.
It took 18 delegated people, 4 agencies, in 4 different
towns, to implement the 1st application, to the last
application, to get the Personal Care person, and
when this person came, she was young, no experience,
didn't know how to Wash Dishes, or sweep good.
The papers said that She can get paid $3.63 for each
unit of time...15 minutes..6 hours a week.
This is about $15+ an hour. Believe this!! I can't!!

I definitely do not understand how these things work. I think that we normal people will never be let in on the secret of such things. That's like the highway construction workers: one will be using a shovel, 5 will be standing around watching. One time, one of them was lying down at the edge of the highway; when we returned from our trip several hours later, he was still lying down.
And people wonder why the taxes are so high!

i almost tore my arm off in a machine at work and they assigned me a home nurse who didn't know how to get the shot out of the plastic cover and never wanted to wear gloves and i had to ask her every time to wash her hands .....so yeah i can believe they are that bad!

this is the going rate for that kind of work. all your friend needs to do is ask the agency to send someone else.
