For work as a surveyor we often had to open up and measure the depth of manholes in the middle of busy intersections. There was one that had been backed up somehow and filled to the brim with filth. That was the worst smell I'd ever smelled, almost to the point of vomiting.

A little town in Tennessee...I was on vacation and stopped at a hotel for the night...the tap water was horrible. High sulfur content or something but it smelled just like rotten eggs. I asked for a refund and drove on down the road.

Ever smell a chicken kill plant. Pretty bad. But so is my husband's feet after work and changing a diaper of an ill baby.

I suppose the kill plant wins!

Clostridium Difficile infected diarrhea. Though P. Aeruginosa infected wounds is a close second.

My sister used to empy the cat box in this plastic garbage can we had. It got pretty full, then rained on, and someone sealed it. It stood in the sun all summer and simmered.

I didn't know what it was and opened it one hot humid afternoon. Instant vomiting. Still get sick thinking about it...

A dead and really well decaying deer I encountered along the roadside as I was jogging. Breathing heavily didn't help.

I accidentally left a roast in the oven for two weeks and when I found it there was maggots all through it and it stank to the point where it made me sick.
