Short Answer: Like many people have said "Too Many." & "More times than I'd like to admit." (so don't feel bad you gave her another chance)
However, if you're married or have a child together you can't just throw it away without first trying to work on the relationship. That being said-- Consider your life expectancy--How long do you want to waste on someone who does not show respect, betrays your trust or otherwise show themselves to be an unsuitable mate?
Your True Love is waiting for you to get over your ex. Life can be way too short to let other people make you miserable.

A lot. People are human, they are going to make mistakes. My man has given me fifty eleven chances when I was careless with his feelings and I have done the same. It depends on whether or not this person has anything valuable to offer to you in your future and whether or not you feel you can really trust her.

you're just going to keep setting yourself up for disappointment. you most likely are wishing (like i did) that she will be the same as she was when you first started dating. i was in that position too and i set myself up for failure after failure.
i took her back 8 or 9 times before realizing just how much of a nut case she was. the physical attraction was still there between us, but its worth the sacrifice to avoid some potentially extreme emotional damage.

Oh, and I have never had a boyfriend, because, all the guys who ask me out are strangers that just come up to me at like track meets & whatnot & ask me out, I want to know a guy before I go out with him :)

I gave my ex chance after chance. But after I realized that all this time he lied to me, cheated on me, and just 'used' me, I completely gave up on him. That looser can go shoot himself for all I care!
