I don't see anything wrong with a national ID card. It is usefull to have a standard ID that everyone recognizes when they see it.
And other countries that have more freedom than the US have them.

Just another form of junk that the government won't be able to control! You can bet it will cost us money, more employees will be needed in an already staggering number of Federal agencies. The government already has a national ID card, everyone who is a citizen has a Social Security card, that should be enough!

National Id, state Id, whats the difference, they are now putting radio frequency id chips in your inspection sticker and your registration sticker and your drivers license and Walmart is testing them in everything, they are as small as a grain of sand and even your garbage you throw away will be traced back to you and they can read the chip at highway speed as you go thru a intersection.

You say why protest we pretty much already have.
I say why do we need more if its pretty much the same thing anyway?
___
This is just the federal gov't trying to get their hands into every aspect of our lives; theyre trying to undermine the state despite the state getting powers not directly given to any gov't.
The further removed the stronger gov't is from you, the less ability you have to affect it personally. We need to shrink the federal gov't, not make it grow more.

You're right in that we already have them. The trick is that the Real ID will be readable from as much as 3 feet away. It's digital and readable by anyone with the technology.
Be afraid, be very afraid.

Ive got my drivers license. If any law enforcement officer wishes to look at it he can be my guest. If they need to know who i am why isnt that good enough for them? Why would i need a national ID card when my drivers license is suppose to be valid in all 50 states?
