Why do we put ourselves out for others at our own expense? When does it become necessary to do so? Is it really worth it in the end? Does it mean you will be rewarded later by that person or in some other form? Does it make us better people? And finally, do you do it?

It's all about survival. If you can help another person with that problem, you help the community. If you help the community, you help future generations.

So, the why is a matter of promoting Life, generally.

It's not necessary at all for the person who defines Life no wider than their own.

Only God knows if it is worth it, and it doesn't mean you'll ever be rewarded. If it did, it would have no real value, would it?

It doesn't make us better people to act like who we are, and it certainly doesn't make us better to pretend to be what we aren't.

Do I do it? Not in a manner traceable back to me, no. If anyone knows about it, it becomes Public Relations. I don't help people for the publicity.
