I ordered a guitar from musiciansfriend. It said it'd be here in 2-5 business days. That went by and I got an email saying that it was backordered. It's been 3 weeks since I got that email and when we track the order online it says it hasn't "been processed". Any idea when I can expect to get the guitar and what do they mean by processed?

Musician's Friend is a reliable place. I use to play full time when I was younger and I bought quite a bit of stuff from them. Try to get an answer from their customer service department. Let them know that you know the order hasn't been processed yet and that you would like a ball park delivery date or your money back so you can buy elsewhere. They won't want you doing that so you'll more-than-likely get a reasonable response.
You didn't say what brand guitar you bought. Sometimes the manufacturer is really out of stock and must build more guitars before they can ship any to dealers. Gibson is running nearly a year behind on some models. So try to nail them down with a tentative ship date.

No, don't file a complaint yet. That's just silly. The company simply might have not had your model in stock, and is in process of having it made or shipped to them. Go ahead and call to see if they can give you a better date.
