The transmission bands need adjustment, a competent honest transmission shop can handle this job.
Before you take it in, check the fluid level. Also if the fluid is very dirty there might be other underlying problems, a reputable shop will tell you this prior to servicing the transmission. A bottle of Lucas transmisson sealer might be a cheap stop gap fix that will get you by for a while, it does work as advertised, but the underlying problem remains.

it could be low on fluid,id check that ,and if its ok take it by any transmission shop and have them test drive it ,they will do this for free,and then you,ll have a lot better idea of whats going on with it,its better than wondering about it,good luck on it,

either low fluid or drive bands are shot. first thing i'd due is get the tranny filter and fluid changed

could be your torque converter is slipping have it checked out good luck.
