Final Fantasy 12 Deathbringer/Dr.Cid First Battle?

Question

Will the deathbringer 1 hit ko dr.cids rooks or are they not 1 hit ko'able??

P.S. I know the deathbringer has a 40% chance of koing.

I really don't think the rooks are 1 hit KO'able. I noticed any boss battles, whether fighting the main boss or their minions, that any weapon with a chance of KO didn't cause a KO. But I could be wrong, you may want to try it for yourself.
