Run your washer with just 1 cup bleach. that should kill any mold growing in there. Remember to keep the lid open when not in use. After you clean your washer, run those stinky clothes back through with 1/2 cup baking soda in the wash and 1/2 cup white vinegar in the rinse cycle.

Some of your towels and perhaps clothes sat in a damp pile long enough to mildew or sat in washer too long before put in dryer. Now these items still have some 'trapped' mildew that is noticed when re-wet.

Put Simple Green or liquid Spc n Span in washer with your clothes and all the towels. This should help extract the mildew in clothes, towels & washer.

Hang up everything wet. Never pile up damp clothing unless washing it same day.

Maybe your washer needs cleaning! Run the washer without clothes in it and put about 3 cups of bleach in the water. Run a full cycle just as though you were doing a regular laundry, only without the clothes. There may be something getting moldy/mildew-y in the machine itself and the bleach in the water will help take care of that.

Good luck. Hope this helps.

is it your water? well water? city water? maybe there is something in the water that's making it stink. make sure you throw them in the dryer right away or you will smell mildew.

I use about 1/2C-1C. baking soda in all my wash loads it helps the detergent work harder and it won't ruin your clothes.. It leaves them smelling fresh.. Try that next time you do your wash.. Good luck
