anywhere from 30-40wks the baby drops its normal it doesn't mean anything except pregnancy is normal.. it just means the baby's head is in Position and not breech and that their head is engaged in the pelvis...if they don't say engaged then the baby can freely move and become breech again lol
my 1st dropped at 35wks and i didn't give birth till 40wks
this pregnancy mine dropped at 32wks and I'm 38weeks atm and i have so much pelvic pain this time its COMPLETELY NORMAL lol but seriously uncomfortable.
hang in there and congrads

Braxton Hicks contractions (the ones that dont hurt) are just your body's way of preparing to give birth. I had mine throughout my entire 3rd trimester and my son ended up coming 4 days late. The baby's head is probably facing down. Which is a good thing. I doubt that you will be in labor anytime soon and im sure if it seemed that way your doctor would have told you. You've probably been feeling pressure or increased urination because the baby has moved down a bit or shifted. If you lose your mucus plug, start having "bloody show", Experience real contractions, or anything of that nature then you'll know your childs birth is coming up quick. No worries for now. Good Luck

Malachi was dropped, engaged and at station 1 from 30 weeks on. So i know what you're gonig through.
Usually at 30 weeks the baby switches to a more head down position, although they can flip around for a few more weeks.
What youre discribing is totally normal for your point. You'll have those contractions from now on. If you have more than 6 intense painful ones in an hour, go to the doctor. Otherwise, slow down, drink water and ride them out. Laying down it a good thing to do when they come along.
The discharge is normal, its caused by hormones. Peeing more is normal too, the baby is on your bladder.
The pressure and feeling like he's pushing down is normal too.
Period like cramps are the feeling of him irritating your cervix. those will get worse the closer to labor you get, as the cervix opens.
You sound perfectly normal for where you are. No nearer to labor than you should be. :)

That does not mean at all you will go in to labor any time soon. I am regristered at www.babyfit.com and they said at around 28 weeks the baby heads should be facing down. Its a good thing for you though, cause im 37 weeks and my baby is still not facing down. So now my doctor is saying that I may have to have a c-section. So im pretty scared about that. But good luck with everything.

My dr was telling me 4 weeks before the due date that my baby's head was @ the entrance of the cervix, too. It's just preparing for birth, and pretty soon, your dr will probably tell you that your cervix is beginning to dilate. Don't freak out then because it takes weeks before it is dilated enough to go to the hospital!
The pressure will be constant from now on and so will the backaches and other discomforts. Try to rest and stay off your feet when it gets bad. You need to conserve energy for the labor. Congrats!!!

No you won't go into labor that just mean your baby has descended down the birth canal and those are braxton hicks contractions a way your body practices for the real thing . You are obviously not dialated or your doctor would have told you.

As far as I know it just means that the baby's head is in the down position. it does not mean the baby has dropped, you would know that if it happened im pretty sure. if you are having other symptoms you may be closer, but from everything ive heard each pregnancy is so different there is no way to predict these things:) my baby had beenin the down position for a couple weeks at least but she has not dropped yet nor have i had any contractions or dialtion and i almost at 38 weeks. it is hard to say, but i would tell you dr. any symptoms you think youve been having.

I'm almost 32 weeks pregnant and I'm experiencing everything you are. I experienced this with my last pregnancy as well and my daughter stayed inside till the last.
Your baby's head is down, as he is preparing for the great day. But it's preparation only. Doctor did not mean "down, down". If your doctor did mean that, then she would've arranged for you to get to the hospital, as that would have meant that you're in labour. Baby only moves "down, down" when it's time to meet mommy in person.
As uncomfortable as you are now, try to enjoy what's left of your pregnancy. Just take it easy and you'll be fine.

it means the baby has dropped but it doesnt mean labor is right around the corner although this may be a sign that you might have him or her a little early try and take it easy at least for another month around 35 weeks it is safe to deliver
