Juan Pablo Montoya. He always made mistakes on track. He has a poor personality. Good riddance! Let NASCAR have him.

Their is many drivers in F1 who are just plain scared of that ballistic missile they have to drive. But are some who think the shell is unbreakable and they will always walk away unharmed.I would doubt Mansell or even Schuwy would handle todays cars even tough schu has ony been absent this season.Perhaps when they sign the contract and gauarranteed millions they just back off and take it easy.Their does appear to be plenty of unwarranted excuses flying around.Dc should hand over the keys and Jenson is going the same way.

Of the present drivers in F1 I wouldn't go so far as to call one the worst in a sense that would put down their ability. These guys are all there because they do have what it takes to drive an F1 car. However, they are not all equals. There are some better than others, for sure.

What we see with many drivers is the best do end up with the top teams. Now and then a mediocre driver makes it to a top team. I agree that Massa is one of those. He's not the "worst" right now, but I just cannot bring myself to rate him. He rarely, if ever, shone before his Ferrari drive. He's a bit like Eddie Irvine in that respect, he gets where he gets thanks to the car.

So a great car can indeed elevate a mid-field driver to the podium--even the top. But at the same time, a great driver in a mediocre car can indeed prove themselves: Senna in the Toleman in 1984; Schumacher in the Jordan was so stunning in his debut that he jumped to the better rated Benetton team.

Right now, though, there are to me a handful of drivers who while they surely are capable of driving a Formula One car, they could easily be superceded by "better" drivers if the better drivers either wanted to have a go at F1 or had the funds to help buy their ride.

Right now I rate Scott Speed the lowest of the 22, followed by his unfortunate teammate Liuzzi. To me, these poor guys seem rather clueless. Putting either of them in a McLaren or a Ferrari would not make them winners. Why? Neither seems able to wrestle more from the car than it has to offer. Sure, than can be said of Sutil, Albers (before he was gone), and a few others (Button and Barrichello come to mind!). Yet there just never seems to be a moment where one can see in these two Toro Rosso drivers that the might have something we cannot see because of the car.

I think Albers wasn't made of the right stuff to move up in F1. I think his being dropped by Spyker had as much to do with that as with his apparent lack of sponsorship money coming to the team.

there are no bad F1 drivers cause not anyone could just wake up and decide they will go drive a F1 car, drivers performance relies heavily on their cars

Taki Inoue!!!

as one magazine said "Taki in the way and out of his depth in F1, closely followed by Pedro Diniz (who's dad owned Parmalat, hence the reason he ended up in F1 in the first place)

I think kimi is the most arrogant driver towards the fans but then he isn't in it for autographs or stardom, he has always made that clear. I cant knock him for his driving even tho i agree with martin brundle that he has the fear factor for over-taking

alex yoong, malaysian, raced for minardi in 2002. failed to even qualify inside the 105% rule for a number of races. minardi had to put in anthony davidson for 3 races to let alex take time-off to rethink about racing at such a high level.

a close 2nd place would be yuji ide, japanese, raced for super aguri in 2006. lost his superlicense after 'incompetent and rough racing'. what more can be said?

Felipe Massa. He's not a driver...sucks in the rain (don't believe any tire vibration lies...yeah right).

Notice how he deviated from the racing line to try to kill Alonso in Germany? Maybe his amazing mentor Schumacher told him to do that...slam into the other car when lady luck goes their way (remember Schumacher vs Hill?).

Sorry Massa...be your own man...don't listen to Schumacher. Now that is low class.

NOTE: Many would say Sato but wrong...Sato would pwn Massa anytime with a good car.
