I am planning on becoming a vet technician.I am still to young to be an apprentice or go to the schools.I have been wanting to be a vet technician for years. So my desire to save animals is very strong. So instead of sitting at home or playing games.I would like to make a fresh start and try demos, and tips and other stuff. So name some websites that teach you about caring for animals, some things like bandaging wounds.medicines I can use(I use homeopathic medicines because drugs are dangerous)Or any other good info i can learn before i go to learn to be a vet technician?

try contacting your local spca or humane society. many have special volunteer programs for young people. some require that an adult attend with you, but it's still great hands-on experience caring for animals. they have great workshops that include pet first aid, pet cpr, dog training and pet psychology, etc. your local red cross might also offer pet first aid or cpr training workshops or classes. and depending on where you live, you might also have an rop program through your school system that links students with local vets, pet shops, etc. to get on-job help-out type experience working with animals.

good luck :)

It is good you want to read everything you can now to get an of the field. It is a wonderful career--you won't get rich, but it is very rewarding. You must not only love animals and want to save them, but you must be good at working well with others, as you'll have many co-workers with differing personalities. Also, you'll be dealing with clients who may be angry, afraid, nervous, and anxious when it comes to their pets. It helps to have good, calm communication skills. This is a "people" job for sure! There are many veterinary websites that you can go to. If you are 16 years old or older, you may be able to work part-time through your school program. You can also ask local vets if you can observe for the day, to give you a sense of the job. We've had many do this only to find out it is not what they thought it would be, and realized it wasn't the career for them. Good luck! :)
