Yes. Let me try to explain. YEEESSSSS!!!! He is an ex-con. He threatened you physically. He threatened to terrorize you for the rest of your life. He violated parole & is back in prison. They want to charge him with making terrorist threats.
This guy has no respect for the law and has nothing to lose. Heck yea you should press charges! Help him violate parole some more. The safest place for you right now is him in prison.
While he is in prison, hopefully for a very, very long time, I would move if at all possible. If not, change your locks, get a security system, don't leave your garage door opener in your car when it's outside, keep the garage door closed. Give his picture (better yet his mug shot) to all your neighbors and tell him he threatened you & to call the police if they see him. If you do move, don't leave a trail. Anyone you do tell should know what's going on, even the moving company if you hire one. Don't publicly list your new phone # or address, change your email address, change your cell phone #, tell your employer what's going on, give your new neighbors his picture, change the license plate # on your car.
At the very least, regardless of whether you press charges, ask to be notified when he is released and don't count on anyone to do it. Check for yourself, every day if you have to.
I realize I sound like an alarmist, but the best defense is a good offense, right? Guys like this don't make threats to fill the air with sound. He is hard core. Protect yourself. And call your local domestic violence program. They have all sorts of great advice and support. Good luck!

If he has to make more time because of your testimony, go ahead and press charges. You live in America, and you should not live in fear. It's not easy to do that to someone you shared a bed with, but he doesn't have the right to threat you. You should be able to go places without looking over your shoulder. The law will be on your side. Just make a mental note not to deal with Cons anymore...everyone deserves a second chance, but let someone else give them that chance.

I would tell authorities what you have been told by him. In doing so you may be keeping a lot of innocent people out of harm's way if they want to charge him with terrorist threats. Also emphasize that you are fearful for your safety by doing this and see if you are afforded some type of protection by the law. Best of luck to you.

Be gald he's in prison where he can't hurt you honey and let it go. I know what he did was wrong, but he probably will get out one day. You don't want him to come after you to make good on his threats. It's better to be safe than sorry sweetie.

Yeah go ahead and finish his a.. I was'nt aware of any state that says boyfriend owns girlfriend and has the right to kill or threaten to kill her. You can probably do better Above all else if he gets out on bail have a restraining order drawn up. Do what you have to do to protect yourself.

you did not say how the police got involved or if there where wittnesses. this would be worth a talk with an attorney. if you have no wittnesses, you may have no case & i would drop it. you may never hear from him again.if you have wittness and can be reasonably assured that he will be punished, i would pursue that. my thoughts are that this may be hard to prove

whatever your decision, please do yourself a favor, and avoid this type of man in the future.
if the police want you to testify, i think it might be wisest to talk to people who know you and your situation best... i'm not sure what the circumstances are, so i can't say whether it's a good idea or not.
take care of yourslf, ok?

I'd report it, in hopes of keeping him locked up longer. Try to ensure you won't have to testify. Then I'd move far, far away and cut off all ties to him and everyone connected to him.

Don't do anything to make him want to get even. Just stay away and the judicial system will take care of him for you.
