I think its an issue that just effects America. Lib or Con... one difference may be in how you choose to view it. Do you look at just the negative... or do you choose to look at the possitive. I of course want a strong dollar and I am Conservative.... however, I don't see things as all doom and gloom. By the way, just a little link here....

I'm not saying the dollar isn't as strong as it was... but the sky isn't exactly falling...

That is exactly backwards. The exchange rate makes good cheaper only when the dollar is strong.

Our dollar is weak because the Federal Reserve counterfeits billions a weeks. That's why America has triple digit inflation.

The definitions of liberal and conservative no longer have any valid meaning because Fox News and its corporate cronies have turned all labels into wedges; sound-bites for an ADD public; vile regurgitation of the neo-con political propaganda machine.

Every working person is against a weak dollar because that is what sells them and their children into slavery.

I feel the economy booming and 'I am busier than I've been in years.
Originally with the increase in building materials cost, Lumber up more than 80% , I thought people would stop spending or refuse to pay the extra but in the last 2 years business is exploding.
I'm a general contractor in a waterfront village in central NY.
I'm no accountant but I love the economy just the way it is. People are spending money on stuff that doesn't pay for it self too. Patio rooms, Gazebos with hot tubs, new docks,
They are doing less insulation, windows, and doors and more frivolous things.

I think liberals are changing in this country. It's never been about the money for liberals until peak oil worries dominate our political parties. The problem is the party doesn't represent you anymore. It's much more than about government now, it's about survival and which continent is going to be dominate. The US thinks they are ahead of the game. The people are not represented because it's not about the people anymore.

If it is a Bush policy causing the weak dollar, and you are against it, apparently that makes you liberal traitor and a socialist commie.

In my book, it just makes you intelligent.

I'm all for a strong, run 'em the hell over, dollar. Cheap US goods is very bad for the US. You run to China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong if you want cheap. In the US, it should be built proud and strong. (Man, if I don't sound like a used car salesman) I do believe in a strong dollar. It means a lot to go around for all.

libertarian, apparently. These days, the only choice we have in the two-party system is to continue the war on terror, crashing dollar, war in iraq, and an end to US sovereignty.
