If a defense atorney proves that the main prosecution witness who is also the accuser has lied to the jury over ten times (such as lied about being assaulted before) and other important things would the witness lose credibility with the jury?

What do you think of ... it extremely is very a no brainer question. of path, in case you may prepare a witness persistently lied to the jury that witness loses their credibility (and can be charged with purgery/contempt of courtroom). Credibility = you do no longer lie (i.e. you're telling the certainty).

Maybe. You'll have to see what the jury finds. Often, it isn't the # of lies, but WHAT is lied about, that affects credibility.

the witness should lose all credibility with the jury. that means are they lying about the whole incident.
