I did not like the beard, but w/out fuzz, it makes him look really young. I would like to see him with a go-tee'/mustache. He looked hot then!

I think that he looks way younger without the beard but I dont really like the beard, at least not so grown out. so many a little facial hair and thats about it...

this brings up another question-
is there even one actor in daytime tv that HAS a beard (not just stubble or some kind goatee or soul patch)?
Character wise i think it's too bad he couldn't keep the beard, making it a part of his character's change, reconstitution- i mean he lost his memory , and shouldn't be exactly the same character, imho
It probably just had to go for continuity purposes, as they shoot scenes out of sequence and it might be dificult to track it , maintaining it too time consuming, as in life....unless you are really going for a biblical JC look....!
