Sonic, many country singers, including Alan Jackson and Blake Shelton. The band Hinder (of "lips of an angel" fame), the Movie Twister was about Oklahoma (even though it was mostly filmed outside of the state.) also, OU has produced many great breakthroughs in the history of the conquest of Mexico. Including the works of Hassig and Haskett. OSU is a prominent hub of research in the Ag Science industry. Geronimo died here, Route 66 was finished here. (half started in the east, half in the west, they met in Quapaw, Ok. We also brought you Mickey Mantle. Also Will Rogers, who was a prominent actor and politician. That is all I can think of off the top of my head. Hope that helps!

Nothing wrong w/OK. (MO resident) and it is Sooners (oklahoma) and Cowboys (oklahoma state.) Brad Pitt was born there, but from infancy on, from missouri. (Springfield native.) But that's in the SW corner, pretty close to OK, so, no further quibbling.
Lotsa tornados, but all the midwest plus TX gets their (un) fair
share.
Leave it alone!

How about Chuck Norris & Brad Pitt?

Or even Lon Chaney Jr?

Or do you mean Oklahoma City, not State

PS: The guy my dad wanted to name me after was from OK - And am I glad I didn't get named after him ............. Spending my life called Sheb (after Sheb Wooley -singer/actor who played the cook in Rawhide) would have been embarassing
