Even though you're not hungry, you should nibble a lot to help keep from the naseaus feeling. Eat saltines for something plain and not filling- maybe 4 or so or a couple carrots, some pretzels, a half a banana (etc). They say you should be eating every few hours anyway (5-6 small meals a day) when pregnant for mulitple reasons and one to include keeping naseau under wraps. Also, you might want to pick up some B-Natals suckers or Preggie Pops. They don't work for you if you have Hyperemisis or are puking but if you just have some naseau they help out. Also, ginger tea helps but I recommend keeping little bits of food in your stomach more than drinking tea. You need the nutrients anyway.
Extra info: anti-naseau pills and medicine are prescribed for people who need it that are vomiting often and can't keep food down. It's unnecessary or over kill in your situation because you sound like you're doing pretty well since you aren't throwing up at all or not often.

It's kind of strange that it's only at night, like when you lay down? or just happens in the evening? If you've had scopes, then I would assume it rules out acid reflux. I was told mine could be H. pylori (can lead to ulcers in some cases). I was also warned it could be my gallbladder, though an ultrasound didn't pick up anything (but that would only show stones of sufficient size) and I've not had any attacks. Have you had blood tests? Mine showed hypothyroid, which does affect many body systems, including the digestive tract. However, I also get motion sickness very easily, so I'm waiting to see what happens once my thyroid is back on track and see if the nausea goes away. Until then, I treat nausea with ginger (mixed with water), peppermint gum, and mild foods (graham crackers, vanilla wafers, dry cereal). I also now have a prescription for phenergen, which works okay.

I had bad nausea when I was pregnant with my daughter. A lot of time without throwing up and that was so mch worse, I just wanted to throw up and feel better! But I talked to my midwife and she tried the normal food and herbal stuff but I nothing seemed to work. She put me on a medication called Zofran. I took it every few hours and was so much better. I could actually function where before I just couldn't. I got sick at my 11th week, I know my first trimester was sooooo easy, and didn't really stop feeling blah until about week 20. I never was realy hungry and the nausea just made my days so long! They were the only thing that helped! Look it up on Web MD and talk to you dr if nothing on the natural side works and you feel ok with the help. My daughter was perfect and there were NO side effects for the pregnancy that I expierienced.
Hope that helps a little. Congrats on the new baby and I wish you a healthy and happy pregnancy!!

Welcome to the wonderful world of pregnancy! I had the exact symptoms with both my pregnancies but thank god I wasnt one of those unfortunate individuals who puked every hour on the hour! Just keep some crackers in your purse and a small snack on hand. That always worked for me. When I was pregnant with my second child, I carried around a tube of crackers for my toddler and a tube for myself. The nausea will pass once you get further along in your pregnancy. Also, if eating doesnt work, try ginger candy. Tastes like gingerbread men. If you can find the chewy kind (I found it at Central Market- if you have those), chew it up good and stick it to the top of your mouth and the ginger "juice" will realease until the candy is gone and the nausea will subside. I did that as well, when crackers werent always handy. Good Luck!
And dont do what "hotgirl" says NO PEPTO FOR YOU!

You can try mint tea, it is supposed to settle the stomach but I'm sorry to say that I was nauseous all day, every day for the first trimester of my pregnancy and nothing I did made it go away. You are not supposed to take any medication unless it is so severe that you are throwing up and getting dehydrated. Take care, get lots of rest, and usually the nausea goes away in the second trimester. Hopefully you'll feel better then. Good luck! Also, check to make sure your prenatal vitamin doesn't have too much iron in it. Iron can upset your stomach really badly. I took Materna and it was great!

Ask your doctor about reglan, it was the only prescription that worked for me- also there is a company that makes lollipops and sucking candies for pregnant women (called: Preggie Pops)that DO help with the nausea some. You'll get tired of saltines quickly =)

You can drink mint tea. It really helps. I also used Preggo Pops and drops. You can find them at Motherhood and Babies R Us. They are great because you can take them with you, unlike the mint tea. Hope this helps.
Good Luck!!!!!

25 ml of vitamin b6 three times a day, same time everyday rain or shine.
Saved my but. Takes a week or two to really kick in, and as soon as you stop it comes back. I had that crap until I was nearly 5 months pregnant. blech. But the b6 stopped it for me.

Get yourself some of those red & white striped pepermint candies and suck on one every time you get nauseous. It works. This is what my OB/GYN told me to do.
