People keep saying innocent until proven guilty, bringing up race and comparisons to the Duke lacrosse team. But here are my thoughts. This is a federal indictment, this is not a local jurisdiction with a prosecutor looking to make a name for themselves. Federal prosecution cases are won and jail sentences are implied 95% of the time so that is a good representation of what evidence is out there. As far as race goes this kind of attention would be granted if he was white, black, blue or green because it is a sick and disturbing offense, so stop with the "their trying to destroy a black superstar". There is a papertrail that he was only involved but a ringleader. Plus it was his house, this is not a rental property, especially since his crackhead cousin has little to no documented income to show he was renting besides Vick being present at the fights so don't say he did not know what was going on. Comparisons to Duke lacrosse are stupid because there is no pitbull to make false accusations or lie on the stand. There is also sure to be talks of OJ but being found innocent and being innocent are two seperate things. Vick should go to jail, and I don't think he should be allowed in the NFL ever again due to the nature of the offenses and that this is a federal crime

I totally agree with you. Anybody (CWILL) who could watch something like this should have to suffer the same treatment.

These poor animals had horrible lives before they fought, and if they lost, they died in a horrible manner. They never knew a moment of love or kindness, only cruelty and sadistic handlers. My heart hurts for all those animals. It is so senseless to do something like that for ENTERTAINMENT.

That sick lady on the TV today who says she was a dog fighter and there is nothing wrong with it, and people shouldn't interfere with others who 'enjoy' it, dang, I would like to go through the tv at her. If anyone hasn't seen the clip, she is disguised, wouldn't allow anyone to see her identity. What a weird sick sadistic person she must be. When she says the thing about others who 'enjoy' it, I just can't imagine putting the words dogfight and enjoy in the same sentence.

It was my understanding that Vick didn't killing the pit bulls after a losing match. He took place in the torture and killing of young dogs that didn't have "enough fight" in them during testing runs. Testing runs are when the owners shock or agitate the dog in the hopes he will become aggresive - If the dog wimpers it's over. I guess the thinking was he didn't want to incur the cost of feeding the dog for some 10+years .... The poor guy can't afford it!!!

You're absolutely right. Like most NFL stars either he doesn't know or care that he is a role model for kids. Even if he wasn't directly involved his past behavior (flipping off fans and such) and his attitude are terrible. It's about time fans and the NFL start letting these spoiled millionaires know they have a responsibility to society. Hey cwill why are we not surprised you would defend Vick? I suppose you only went to the dog fights to observe.

First and foremost, under our criminal justice system, Vick is presumed innocent until proven guilty. He is entitled to his day in court. That said, for him to be innocent in the eyes of the public, he and his representatives must make an affirmative statement/defense that the allegations are not true, and that he was not/would not be involved in these activities. If he remains silent and/or his defense is limited to attacking the credibility of his accusers, he will still be viewed as being guilty in the eyes of the public, and I think he will then be a pariah in the NFL.

I think all these people that say Vick should be tortured or he should be disbarred from the NFL should hold their tongue until after he's found Guilty or Innocent. Who are we to judge? we don't know all the facts and we should just shut up until he's either back on the playingfield or locked behind bars. Just for your info, i've seen Dog fights and they don't electrocute the dogs and slam them to the ground. Most of the dogs die as a reslt of the wounds, only a few fight-dog owners actually kill their dogs themselves. Michael Vick is innocent until a jury of his peers says otherwise.

I think Vick is a good player but he does make alot of dumb mistakes off the field if he was fighting dogs he should go to jail or get probation, but you are innocent until proven guilty.

I am sick of hearing it. I live 5 minutes from the Falcon training camp and the road is blocked with protestors from both sides of the debate. Just because he is a famous football star does not make his actions right. He should be punished like anyone else in this situation.

Dog Cruelty is wrong. If, had any knowledge, or participated in such an act, he deserve what he gets. But, like someone else, has already said, innocent, until prove in guilty. Have a good night.
