The answer is Yes today I was with my friend .He smokes,He looked so cool smoking.Really.We were outside.Two girls pasted and they all looked at him.But I never knew smoking was hard.I took one.But I kept coughing.Am still recoving from the coughing.He makes smoking sexy.Am gonna video tape him and post it on Youtube.His the coolest guy ever

I'm assuming you are serious which is sad. No, smoking does not make you look cool in fact it makes you look very stupid.
* Does lung cancer sound cool?
* Does extra body hair sound cool? I know guys just love girls with a mustache.
* Does eating a tray of ashes sound cool? Because that what it will taste like every time someone kisses you.

Please take a few minutes to educate yourself before starting a habit that is very hard to break.

I understand what you're saying, like the old cowboys in the old westerns wouldn't look as cool if they were all tobacco chewers instead of smokers. but I guess we've all been trained to see someone a certain way when they are holding a cigarette ad. Imagine if we'd never seen anyone else smoke, not tv, not commercials, or anything. Would we even think of the adjective cool? no, its a word that was put together with cigarette so many times that its hard not to associate the two together. Not that I think it's cool, i think its a waste of money, you're "buzz" only lasts a couple of minutes, unless you're hardcore and then I don't think you get one. You're just so used to the nicotine that it doesn't affect you anymore, and that's not cool. At least get a buzz with what you're smoking. Am I right?

You want to know what the aftermath of your "coolness" is? In about fifty or sixty years, you'll be lying on a hospital bed struggling to fight lung cancer. Your lungs will be black, your breath will smell awful and your fingerpads will be stained yellow, and that's not the worst of it. 1 in 2 smokers will diagnose a problem from their smoking and most likely die. I recommend you visit www.stupid.ca. When I pass smoking teens on the street, I get the impression that they are careless and uncaring. Besides, you're spreading smoke around - more people die from secondhand smoke than those who actually smoke themselves. So take everyone around you into consideration. And in a few years, your "coolest guy ever" won't look so cool. Kissing an ashtray? Huh. Not my idea of sexy.

No, smoking does not make you look cool. Only those who do not understand the true dangers of smoking think it does.

You say you are still recovering from the coughing. That should tell you what your body thinks of the over 4000 toxic chemicals you put into it.

Nicotine is an insecticide. It is poison. And it is more addictive than cocaine. Do the research before you choose to "look cool". Please.

At first it may seem that smoking is "cool", but in the end you'll realize that thinking that was a mistake. Over time you could really SEE the physical impact of smoking (yellow teeth, hard time breathing, clothes smelling bad...). Smoking not only has physical effects, but it has many internal effects (could lead to lung cancer, hard time breathing...). Thousands, if not millions of people die from illnesses triggered by smoking. Smoking does not make you look cool in the end.

What is so cool about burning papers in your mouth?

I started smoking cigars at 14 to look sophisticated and different. I wish I hadn't done it. If you do smoke I would wear perfume or cologne to hide the odor. If your parents smell tobacco I would tell them you were visiting a friend whose parents smoke. Seriously I would quit before getting addicted.

I think you just look like a poseur, particularly when you're hacking your head off trying to inhale. No one likes to inhale smoke. If they did, people would all be huddled around trash can fires taking deep breaths. So, the only reason anyone initially tries to smoke is so they look cool, and if you have to try to look cool, you ain't.

I thought that when I was 16, still think that today. But hey, it's your lungs. If you want to ruin them and make your breath smell like a*s, it's your choice.

Well does dying look cool.
My mother smokes and she looks awful doing it. I mean she has been smoking over half her life and I don't think it is cool that she could die any day. I think it is so stupid to think it is cool to do something deadily that u can control and not do.

Plus people who smoke smell awful, after a while you don't want to be by them because of it, then it is extremely expensive habit. So if u want to have less money, smell awful, look nastiy, and die early... then keep thinking it is cool. But
I don't think it would be cool sitting in a coffin dead. While your parents and loved ones are crying.

P.S. I have lost 6 family members to the damages of smoking and it was awful. You are stupid to think that is cool!

Yeah, smoking looks cool in movies, or on film. But smokings just gross. Three of the guys I've dated were smokers, and all of them quit while I was going out with them. And just for your info, since you seem a little, how to put this nicely, misguided. Its true what they say, kissing a smoker is like kissing an ashtray. its sick, and so is smoking.

Smoking makes you look stupid not cool.

I remember being in downtown Chicago about 20 years ago in the building where the Ad Agency is for the Marlboro commercials.

I met the real Marlboro man in the elevator, going up their offices after a photo shoot.

I asked him if he was the original Marlboro man and he replied something like this:

"No, cough cough, I'm the 3rd Marlboro man, cough."

Then I asked what happened to the first two?

"They died from lung, cough cough, cancer, cough cough!"

The name of the Ad Agency is Leo Burnett and at the time their offices were in the old Prudential building.

PS: 4 years ago my mother, who smoked for years, died from emphysema.
