7 girl's names and 4 boy's names, total of 11 names

the probability of picking a girl's name is 7/11

since the name is replaced back, there is still 11 names to pick on the second time.

so 7/11 * 7/11 = 49/121

find the equation
m = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)

m = (10 - (-8)) / (3 - (-3))
m = 3

10 = 3(3) + b
b = 1

y = 3x + 1

since it is a segment, the points on the segment must be between x = -3 and x = 3

so y = 3x + 1, -3 ≤ x ≤ 3
